Storage Services Connector 1.0 for SAP™ Description Page

Storage Services Connector is a standalone application that works with SAP Business ByDesign to automate tenant setup, backup and recovery operations using NetApp® storage system. Storage Services Connector provides a Web service based interface (SOAP) between SAP application management framework and NetApp storage systems.

Storage Services Connector uses Operations Manager and Protection Manager as its subsystem application to carry out the various storage system operations.

Storage Services Connector supports the SAP Hosting environment platform. The system requirement for Storage Services Connector 1.0 are:

• Operating System for Storage Services Connector server: SUSE® (64 bit) Linux® 9 on EM64T.
  
• Operating System for Storage Services Connector agent: SUSE (64 bit) Linux 9 or SUSE (64 bit) Linux 10.
• Database:
  • IBM® DB2 Version 9
  • MySQL MaxDB Version 7.7.03
• Data ONTAP: 7.2.2 and later.
• Storage Protocol: NFS v3
• Operations Manager and Protection Manager: Operations Manager 3.6 and Protection Manager 3.6. The minimum patch version required is 3.6R1D3.
  Protection Manager is a part of NetApp Management Console. You can download NetApp Management Console from Operations Manager (Web interface of DataFabric Manager).
